.41 Caliber Double Barreled Black Powder Pistol in wooden case with brass label, which states C.S.A
.41 Caliber Double Barreled Black Powder Pistol in wooden case with brass label, which states "C.S.A. Officer's Pistol Black Powder 41 Caliber", comes with a story and a Certificate of Authenticity, which someone else will have to verify as I am not an expert on such things. This is the story "Brass CSA Officer's Pistol (CIRC 1864) This double barreled 41' Caliber black powder pistol was taken from a dead confederate officer at Tilden, Georgia by Evan Swearingin, who was one of Sherman's adjutants at the seige of Atlanta, during the war between the states. Evan Swearingin was my great grandfathers brother. The wooden grips which were broken have been replaced. The weapon is of British Mfg. Signed Lawrence F Oehler, Sr." In my estimation not only were the grips replaced, but the trigger, trigger guard, and hammers as well. I have not taken it apart to look any farther. Buy it as is.
