Magnificent early French repousse and engraved sterling silver tray by the renowned silversmith Aucoc. This tray is very well crafted with a superb shape and design. Tray measures 10 1/4" long and 4" wide and is a weighty 245.3 grams. It is marked on the base "A. Aucoc" with the hallmark of a Minerva head with a 1 (First Standard 950) and also a hallmark with a rooster. Aucoc was active in Paris since the beginning of the 19th. We believe this piece to be circa 1840. Great quality piece in excellent condition!
