<B>1912 $5 MS65 NGC.</B></I> This Gem Indian Head half eagle is unusual in several respects. It features shimmering mint frost, in contrast to the typical satiny surface texture of its type, and it also has beautiful reddish honey-golden color, unlike the more commonly seen greenish yellow-gold toning scheme of a 1912. The striking details are crisp throughout, and the bright surfaces are remarkably clean. If not for two or three scattered ticks, and a couple of insignificant marks beneath the E in LIBERTY, the piece would be essentially immaculate.
