Remington New Model Police revolver with a 3 ½” octagon barrel, S/N 15310. Fully and finely deluxe scroll engraved in New York style possibly by L.D. Nimschke. Classic scrolls and ropes with checkerboard Lot Title backgrounds characteristic of L.D.N. 95%- 98% nickel with light polishing or cleaning long ago. Near fine pearl grips with minor toning and age. The edges are crisp but the barrel address is slightly light like many New York Lot Title engraved arms. The pistol is contained within a period rosewood case with the name “G. Palmer” inscribed on the brass plaque with engraved borders. The velvet interior is very good with minor aging and impressions from Lot Title contact. The lock plate cover is missing but the case is otherwise very good plus. Original extra cylinder, flask, mold, and mushroom headed loader are included. The flask is very good with 80% silver and some Lot Title losses. The collection of Doug Drummond whose inventory describes “Museum quality”. (Antique) Est.: $4000-$8000
