AN ILLUMINATED LIFE OF CHRIST - BIBLE STUDY PANORAMA STUDY AID.
Offering this rare Victorian Bible Study Educational Tool. The book was used as a table-top display with features including scrolling artwork that matches the reading material in the "Genesis to Revelation" section. There are two separate scrolls: One features 20 large scenes and another with 132 smaller scenes. Scrolls are advanced using a key inserted into the side.
There is a map section depicting the "Journeys of Christ" and a section called "bible Study in Topical Form Answering the Who, When, Where, What, Why of the Scriptures".
The upper proscenium window shows a single scene measuring 9" X 7 1/2". The lower window, measuring 14"X 3 1/2", shows the smaller pictures, three at a time. Both are concealed by a pictorial flap. Artwork is Amazing! The accompanying book contains descriptive explanations, questions and answers, indexes, and four maps on two heavy sheets. Directions for using the apparatus and the book are also within.
The desktop folds up to form one side of the case, and an attached stand folds down flush with the backside. The closed kit resembles a briefcase of plain navy cloth with a clasped flap. Color of the scrolls is very vivid for the age of the piece. Please see photos for better detail and condition views.
Dimensions: 15 1/4" X 16" X 2".
Scrolls work but does not have handles to turn them. Item has sold for $1,700 in past auctions.

Returns: Internet buyers are entitled to a return within 3 days of receipt of items. In order to return an item, we must be notified of your intent to return within that 3 day period.
