1863 Petersen's Jewellers, Honesdale, PA, Fuld-PA-464A-1b, R.6, MS64 NGC. This and the following lots offered are part of a series of tokens of various reverse dies and compositions used by this prolific issuer of Civil War tokens. Struck in brass, this piece has a semiprooflike appearance with full original mint luster. The reverse die is the famous one that Philadelphia engraver-diesinker Robert Lovett, Jr., used for the Confederate States of America pattern cent coinage. The listed value for this piece in Kanzinger's reference catalog is $100 in MS60, a far cry from this high grade token.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
