For your bidding consideration is this framed Confederate States of America Bond Certificate for $1,000, issued in March, 1863. The Certificate features a bust portrait of Jefferson Davis along with a vignette of Richmond, Virginia. This five year, $1,000 bond, numbered 23169, was to bear interest at the rate of 8% per year, payable semi-annually with attached $40 coupons.
