1848-D $2 1/2 AU58 PCGS. Variety 10-N. The scarcer of the two known die marriages. A well struck near-Mint Dahlonega quarter eagle with an impressive band of mint luster throughout the borders and devices. The reverse is surprisingly mark-free, while the obverse has only minor marks near the chin and on the cheek. A scant 13,771 pieces were struck.
