<B>1799 $10 Irregular Date, Small Stars Obverse AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-6840, Taraszka-19, BD-7, R.3. The 7 in the date is high and leans right, while a mint-made die line is found below the right serif of the T in UNITED. This attractive specimen is from an early die state, lacking the vertical die crack through the E in LIBERTY. This coin is also without the crack through IBERTY and the right-side stars, documented for the late-state example in the <I>Harry W. Bass, Jr., Museum Sylloge.</B></I> This canary-gold example has abundant bright luster and a crisp strike.
