16DB-2 WINCHESTER HI-WALL #64257Winchester Model 1885 Hi-Wall single shot rifle, 38-55 cal., serial #64257. The rifle is in very good to nearly fine condition with an octagon barrel. The barrel retains nearly all of an old quality re-blue finishwith a later replacement globe front sight and later mid-range tang sight. The rear sight dovetail has been filled. The receiver shows beautiful, toning case color on both sides, the breech block and lever. The rifle has a single trigger. The smooth wood stocks are in very good overall condition with small mars and compressions consistent with handling. The butt stock ends with a hard rubber Winchester marked butt plate.
